Philana Li is an independent scholar and curator who received her MA in Art History from the University of Texas at Austin in 2021. Her thesis entitled Constructing and Curating the Asian American Identity Within Asian American Exhibitions investigated the Afro-Caribbean-Chinese Diaspora in the United States. In addition to her interests in the Asian American Diaspora, she is also interested in Modern and Contemporary African American Art.
